Eligibility
USITT National generously supports scholarships that cover conference registration for two students in each USITT regional section.
Students wishing to apply must meet the following criteria:
- Currently registered in an undergraduate or graduate program in theatre or entertainment technology.
- In good academic standing with a G.P.A of 3.0 or higher.
- A current member of USITT Intermountain Desert Section. Student memberships are $10.
- A current member of USITT National (or willing to register as a national student member in order to attend).
Application & Review

- A 1-page application letter (details below.)
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of USITT ID Board Members appointed by the region chair. Panel members are committed to the utmost objectivity in their review process.
- Application deadline is Friday, November 8, 2019.
- Preference will be given for first time attendees.
- Complete the Google Form application and upload the following documents.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
- Notification of award will be made in time for early registration no later than mid January 2020.

Application Letter
Application letters should address the following in addition to the required question in the application form below:
- A brief summary of your educational experience in technical theatre, design, and or entertainment technology (1 paragraph or less.)
- What do you hope to gain from attending the conference?
- What are your long term career goals and aspirations?

If you already know the friends you want to move in with, look for an apartment where each of you gets a room. If you don’t, don’t worry, you can always find a single room for you in a shared student apartment.
